Russell Albert, Chief Technical Officer
Russell Albert, Chief Technology Officer at Zettabox, leads the Company’s team of developers drawn from every corner of Europe. He has spent the majority of his 25 years in technology building solutions for media distribution over networks. As a result, he has deep experience in the management of both software teams as well as the network infrastructure over which those solutions are delivered.
In the earliest days of audio and video distribution on the internet, Russell led the development of a software-driven network platform that was adopted by major media companies to securely share proprietary content. Madonna and ColdPlay are two of the better known artists whose content was distributed on this platform across Europe. The success of that tool inspired the idea of providing a pan-European storing and sharing platform for individuals and businesses of all sizes, in the Cloud. Under Russell’s tech leadership, Zettabox benefits from three key advantages: deep experience in content storage and sharing, a sophisticated knowledge of the Cloud and the infrastructure upon which it depends, and a focus on Europe.
